Exclusive three-gear "Triple Action" drive thoroughly mixes the cream, ensuring a smooth texture and fast, even freezing. (Electric models use twin precision steel gears.) Pine slats 3/4"W are hand-pieced, triple sealed, stained and lacquered, then bound with tight galvanized hoops. Tests prove plastic tubs can't freeze ice cream as fast or as hard.

Dasher and Blades-Solid cast iron dasher won't give out as cream hardens. Like all the fixtures, it's nickel-plated. (Nickel is what makes stainless steel corrosion-resistant.) Norwegian Beech blades self-adjust to scrape inside of can and will not split, chip or warp in the dishwasher.
