"I just love this homemade laundry soap! I used to balk at the idea of making my own laundry soap but we are trying to save money. Commercial laundry detergents are so expensive so we decided to give it a try. I love the scent of the soap and it cleans so well. I especially like the idea that the clothes smell clean and not like the laundry soap itself. I look forward to making my next batch just so I can smell the Fels-Naptha soap!(It smells so good!"

"I am so glad that i bought this kit from Lehman's . I had always wanted to make my own laundry soap. The kit provides everything needed and the recipe was included. I made the soap and used it after letting it cure for 24 hours. I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean it got the laundry. It far surpassed the store bought detergents and the fact that it is safe for the environment is a plus. If you have well water, like I do the last thing you want is a chemical laden laundry detergent seeping into the ground and contaminating your well water. Thanks Lehman's for making this product available and allowing me the opportunity to learn to make my own laundry soap."

"After opening all, I found the Fels-Naptha soap fragrance way too strong and unnatural and so was suspecting this soap bar to be somewhat toxic.......I googled for it a little... and yes, indeed it seems to be not a very healthy and natural soap.......I would suggest that it is replaced with “Kirk's Orginal Castille” soap. I am giving a low rating for this reason...."

"So far so good! I enjoy having homemade soap. It cleans well and does not have a strong fragrance. The Fels-Naptha is great for stains. My son cut his lip and bled on my NEW shirt. I treated it within the hour and the stains came right out."

"I have made my first batch of soap and it is great. It is really very easy to make and it really does work wonderful. I don't have to add fabric softener or use bleach in the wash any more. My husband has 2 pair of black BDU pants that he wears for work. I wash these pants separate from anything else because lint and hair would stick to them so bad that many times I would end up washing them again. I tried even using vinegar in the wash water to prevent lint from sticking to them. I told my husband that the true test of this soap would be if these pants came clean the first time in the wash. Well they did. I couldn't believe it, I was truly surprised and impressed. Another great thing is not using fabric softener. We live in Arizona and it is not uncommon for us to have only 2 or 3% humidity. Using this soap I have not had any static cling or stiff clothes from hanging on the line. I don't have a dryer and only use a clothes line. Sometimes the clothes dry so fast that by the time I get one wash load hung up it is ready to be taken down, now you can't get a dryer to dry that fast, but the clothes are as soft as ever. We also have a lot of sand (gee living in the desert) and putting that together with white socks is a true TV commercial waiting to happen. This soap cleaned the sand stains out of the socks better than when I had used bleach. I don't know about grease stains as I haven't had a chance to tackle this foe yet, but so far it is just great. This may sound a little funny but one of the things I like best about it is that I made it. We live off grid and we like to be as self sustaining/reliant as possible and this is just another thing I can add to my collection of homemade products. Thank you for carrying all the wonderful products that you do and I hope you continue for many years to come. Thank you, Cindy"

"The smell of the soap is wonderful. And it was so simple to make, I was using it almost immediately! My clothes are cleaner and brighter after just one wash - this is great stuff!"

"I've been making my own laundry soap for a while, using the same ingredients, and I can say it is a wonderful, economical way to get your clothes clean. It's good to know I can easily get replacements from you when I run out. The only thing I add is a handful of salt (I use the water softener salt) per load to soften the water, as we have very hard water."

"I can't believe I wasted all those years buying detergent! I made my first batch using this kit recently, and it was quick, easy, and barely made a dent in the supplies - the $50 spent here will last us quite a long time, I think. Like some others, I am finding that we need to use a bit more than the recommended amount to completely wipe out odor, but with such a large supply, it's not a concern. I highly recommend it!"
