"I have owned this stove for 3 months now and have been burning it non-stop...It is not a bad stove but I'm not quite sure if it's worth the $2400 I paid to have it installed. I have one broken fire brick and two others that are cracked already...It does throw off great heat I have no complaints with that. It is heating my entire house currently, which is just a ranch...I have it in my basement and I can keep it around 70 degrees if I'm home... that is my complaint about this stove...it says 12 hour burn times. But when I leave for work typical 8hr shift when I come home my heat pump is running which I have set at 64 degrees. When I come home from work this is usually a small bed of coals left enough to get another fire going but the coals aren't hot enough to keep my house warm..another complaint I have is that they claim the air wash system keeps the glass clean which is garbage it doesn't work that well my glass gets dirty after 2 days of burning they I have to wipe it down again with a towel and water then it is clear again."

"The fire box failed after 4 years of normal usage. The company would not honor the "Presidential Warrantee". I have been maintaining the unit well since the day I bought it and only burned dry, seasoned wood. Their claim about over firing the stove is unfounded and a clear attempt to back out of the written warrantee posted on their site and in the purchase agreement. Over fire is not possible if the stove is maintained properly. Access to customer service people within Napoleon (if there actually are some) is impossible. I have lost my $2200 investment. Now looking for another better quality stove. Advise: Do not buy anything from this company as any advertisement by them is a clear bait and switch."

Lehman's Responds:

We're so sorry for the problems you had with this stove! Your experience is out of the ordinary. The signs of over-firing are easy to identify for an experienced technician. If you will send us photos of the damaged parts of the stove, we can advise you on the best approach to use with the manufacturer, as well as offer an unbiased opinion on whether or not over-firing contributed to the problems you had. Thanks, Galen Lehman, President, Lehman's
