"Context: I own several Dietz lanterns. 3 Wizards, 3 Jupiters, 3 Juniors, and 4 Blizzards. All were bought from Lehman's because of their superior packaging and customer service. As a "prepper" I have thoroughly tested every lantern. All are excellent, but the Lil Wizards are best by far. Low fuel consumption, long run-time (45 hours) with its 31 ounce font, and good brightness. In my opinion, there is no better oil lantern on the market...from Dietz or any other manufacturer. Utterly reliable emergency lighting."

"Lehman's is my personal Dietz lantern supplier. To date, I've ordered over a dozen of various models for myself and others, and they've all been good products, decently made, functional, and useful. Every once in a while the wicks are installed slightly crooked from the factory, which makes it hard to turn the adjuster. Hint: Don't force it or it might break the little gear(s) that pull the wick up and down. Simply remove the burner with a twist, pull out the wick from the bottom, and re-install. Liked the Lil' Wizard for the extended burn time. The folks at Lehman's are packaging pros. I've ordered lots of items involving glass from them, and every piece so far has been 100% intact. Outstanding! My next Dietz is going to be a Jupiter. "

"These Lil' Wizard Dietz lanterns are fantastic! This is my second one, having used the other last year at our Deer Camp and in our back yard when we have a campfire. A great light and it can burn up to 40 hours on one tank! I highly recommend them."

"I thought this was only good for 24 hours but burn maximum is 42 or a little more on topped tank...just be sure to place it safely and have spare wicks. Its 1100 BTU output may keep your bathroom from freezing."

"We were pretty disappointed that these lanterns all leaked, we bought 4. Two hung outside on the porch and rusted like crazy after two years. Plus, they were made in China! Really? I can buy China made stuff at the local Wal-Mart. "

Lehman's Responds:

We're so sorry your lanterns rusted! Although suitable for outdoor use, they are not meant to be left outside continuously. (Even when used regularly outside, rusting is not usually a problem if they are stored out of the weather when not in use.)
