"This is a must for anyone on a propane stove! I've found it perfect for sauces, soups and beans and even breakfast oatmeal or grits! The only time it failed me was when I used my one small simmer burner. That burner was low enough with the propane to not need the mat. "

"I live in the country and have a gas stove converted to propane. The conversion costs the stove top all of it's low end settings and simmering was impossible until I started to use this mat. I have tried several different styles of mats and this one is the only one that gives me a true simmer. Thank you Lehman's for a wonderful product. Each cook in may family is getting one for Christmas this year."

"The Simmermat works great with foods that dry out if you reheat them too long. I can reheat leftover beans or rice and simmer for a long time without drying out the food. It took a few times to judge the right setting on my stove burner, but once I did, perfection!"

"Bought my simmer mat last summer. Love it! At canning time I can now cook large pots of soups or spaghetti sauce without scorching. Also works wonderful under my whistling tea kettle (also from Lehman's). I have purchased three additional simmer mats and will be giving them to family members as Christmas gifts. Great product!!"

"We decided to do a kitchen remodel and, unfortunately, replaced our old electric cook top. Our new GE cook top runs insanely hot, so much so that any setting eventually reaches boiling temperatures. If I didn't have my SimmerMats simmering anything would be impossible. I highly recommend a SimmerMat for anyone with a similar stove top problem."

"I'm vegan and eat lots of bean dishes. Since I bought the simmer mat, I can just put on the beans and leave them until they begin to thicken, and even then, I rarely need to stir. This little gadget has unchained me from the kitchen! Judy"

"I LOVE my SimmerMats. They're actually more of a simmer "plate" -- they get my pots up off the heat, and I've been able to simmer all kinds of things -- even OATMEAL without burning, scorching, or sticking."

"I have bought this SimmerMat for my own use and I am in the process of buying these for friends or family if they have a gas stove. Being able to "simmer" some soups or stews and not have them fuse to the inside of the bottom of the pan is great. Cost for this mat is very reasonable - and will be buying more of them."

"I am sold on this great item! I can now simmer sauces, potato soup, puddings, you name it, without having them stick to the pan. It works like a double boiler does, but is more convenient; there's no clean-up after use, either."

"Electric, gas, or wood works for all three.I bought one for my son and his wife who have an electric stove for the first time and they love it. I also bought one for my northwoods cabin where I have an older gas range and a wood range. It works well on both."

"I purchased the SimmerMat about a year ago and just love it! It works so great. I have a glass top stove, so I have to use it with the bumps down. It's fantastic for slow cooking everything. Milk dishes (puddings, etc.), chili, rice - none of it will burn. But it has to be used on low heat, so do follow the instructions."

"I cook propane stove and kept scorching the pan trying to heat up milk to make yogurt. I just made my first batch of yogurt using the SimmerMat and no scorching. Worth every penny."

"I have a gas stove that even on the simmer burner could never achieve an actual simmer. This little gem lets me simmer on ANY burner. I absolutely love this gadget. I have purchased multiples to give to my friends and family. Get it...You need it!"

"I ordered two simmer mats for use on my propane gas range. They are everything I'd hoped they'd be. I have used them for simmering large pots of sauce for canning, as well as cooking soup, sauce and rice. Previously it was impossible to actually simmer anything on my stove. At the lowest burner setting items still continued to boil vigorously. With the simmer mat I can actually obtain and maintain a technical simmer for extended periods of time. As of dinner tonight, I was very happy that I had purchased two since I had a sweet and sour sauce and rice to cook simultaneously. The mats look exactly the same after multiple uses as they did the day I unpacked them. They show no changes from prolonged exposure to the flames. I'm thoroughly satisfied. So glad a product like this exists!"

"I love this! I have a gas stove but could never simmer things for a long time without them burning on the bottom of the pan. I've had this simmer mat for 2 years now and I can let spaghetti sauce or even sweetened applesauce cook for a long time without worrying about burning."

"Product works very well in general. But when I use my T-fal skillet with copper bottom, care must be taken to prevent the pan from sliding right off the SimmerMat's bumps. Had one close call already!"

"THIS is what I remembered my Father using when I was a kid. Have wanted one ever since. It's so hard to simmer on a gas stove without scorching whatever you are making. It works great! Every cook should have at least one."

"Not for ceran cook tops. I used the simmer mat, points down, to simmer soup on the lowest possible setting on my glass cook top. The soup boiled dry, the mat left pits in the cook top where the points came in contact with it, (as if the top melted) and seems to have removed the shiny surface of the cook top under the mat. "
