"I love this chopper it works great. It did break on the sides and would like a replacement for the bottom part. Will purchase another one when they are in stock."

"This does dice onions quickly, provided that you pre-cut them into quarters or smaller. It is very difficult to push down the end to chop them, even for the men in the house. Cleaning the unit is tedious. As we hate dicing onions, it is worth it when we want very finely diced onions."

"i received one of these as a gift from my father-in-law and it Worked ok at first, but it didn't take long for the base to break off near the "hinge" - thinking it was a fluke I ordered one on my own and it broke in the same area, even after parboiling tougher foods such as carrots & potatoes."

"This onion chopper did not work as well as described. You need to cut the onions in really small pieces, otherwise it took too much pressure to chop. Chopping a half onion did not work. It worked much better on bell peppers peices since they are softer. I would not buy this product again."

"I am always looking for better ways to chop my onions and saw this in the catalog. Leary about buying without looking at it in person, I took the plunge and ordered it. It is the most awesome item. I love it and would recommend this to anyone that cries the whole time they cut up their onions!!"

"LIKE OTHERS HAVE EXPERIENCED, THIS CHOPPER HAS TROUBLE WITH ONIONS. I've FOUND THAT YOU NEED TO CUT THE ONION INTO FOURTHS & REMOVE THE OUTER 2 LAYERS AS THESE ARE USUALLY TOUGH & WON'T GO THRU THE CHOPPER. GREEN PEPPERS CUT BEST IF PLACED IN THE CHOPPER WITH THE SKIN SIDE UP. I'VE BROKEN 2 OF THESE AT THE HINGE DOING ONIONS & WON'T BUY ANOTHER ONE."

"It cuts veggies into a beautiful even little dice. It is so easy! I've used it on carrots, celery and onions. Just make sure you clean it immediately after using to make clean-up easier."

"AWESOME - can require extra cleaning with fibrous veggies - e.g. celery - but great value & indispensable for soups etc - as usual, great value, & very well made"

"I absolutely LOVE the onion chopper!!!! I use it at least once a week. Perfect for dicing cooked chicken for soups, dicing bell peppers and potatoes for homemade fried potatoes. Not to mention onions. I HATE cutting onions so I buy 5-10 lbs and cut and freeze them at one time. I do have to say I have never been able to chop a 1/2 onion at a time. I do slice each onion in maybe 3 slices before putting it i the chopper and you do have to watch the skins, sometimes they clog the unit. the best way to clean is using the little scrapper tool it comes with. Without it, it is nearly impossible to clean - don't lose that valuable piece!!!! This unit has never let me down. I love the even pieces (makes it nice to sneak in veggies to picky children), it is easy to clean (with the cleaning piece) and makes quick work of anything!"
