"Great soap. But why is your price so high? I have bought this very soap in Walmart for just a dollar. The price is too high."

"I've used several brands of foreign-made bar soap (lived in Guyana 4 years), & am pleased to see Zote @ Lehman's! Like using Zote for several household/hygiene needs. It's great for dishes, laundry, personal bathing, hand washing purposes. Not drying to the skin. Pleasant smell. PLUS, it's gentle on my new stainless steel kitchen sinks & new stainless steel counter-tops. Wahoo! "

"This is fabulous stuff. It will slightly lighten dark clothes, though, at the least the white Zote will. For stain removal I rub it on damp clothes and let it set for a while. Don't think I'd do that again with dark clothes. It's wonderful for white socks when using a washboard. "

"I was skeptical at first but this soap has changed my whole laundry routine. All you need do with an automatic washer is grate some in while it's filling up --and not a lot of it, either!-- and set the wash cycle to go a little longer than usual. This ensures it dissolves completely. It smells nice (if you like citronella) and contains no detergents or surfactants. It cleans every bit as well as any "name brand," pollutes far less, and costs about 15¢ a load. As I have oily skin, I now typically cut bars into thirds and use it in the shower as well. Finally, it's the ideal "soft soap" for your kid to carve into a presidential bust, a tiki, or whatever else their school project calls for! A great product, in other words."

"I made my own dry laundry soap with Zote Soap and a few other things and I would have to say - this is even better than the liquid. I love it in my HE machine and no drum stink !!!! Definitely a great soap."

"I bought this for long term storage and began using some grated for laundry. Even the larger chunks will dissolve quickly in the automatic washer. It has a citronella scent that isn't my favorite but I don't notice it much when the clothes have dried. I like the way it seems to soften our hard water. We have also put pieces of it outdoors to help keep flies and other pests away. The bar is soft enough to cut by hand with a knife. This is a great item and I hope you will continue to carry it."

"I ordered this product several months ago and just got around to making homemade laundry soap last week. We love it. Now I see from the reviews that some have noticed less aggravation from skeeters after using this soap. Wow. Anybody from the south loves hearing how to outsmart skeeters! I've got the feeling I'm gonna LOVE this product more and more as time goes on."

"I was skeptical-no more though. Have been bathing in this and my itchy dry skin and smelly feet are no more! I know it is for laundry but I washed my hands in it and it was so good I gave it a try. The skeeters are out already here and though I worked in my yard all day til dark did not get bitten any!"

"I've recently started doing all the washing for my family of three by hand. It was an experiment at first, but ended up sticking. I think it's because the soap works so well. I'd been taking our clothes to the laundromat and none of the detergents I tried (Gain, Tide, Arm&Hammer) have gotten my clothes this clean, even in their high-powered machines."
