"Got my churn a couple of days ago. Had cream saved for the occasion. However, it was only 2 1/2 pints. It was amazing the amount of butter we got from such a small amount. Sweet, vevelty and since it's goat butter, a beautiful white color. So much like my grandma's old Dazye. Thanks Lehmans. Love my churn."

"We made butter this morning and I was wishing the handle was on the side of the gears. We have been using an antique churn and that set up is easier to use. Also wish that it had a vent in the lid. Makes it easier to pour the buttermilk off! Over all though it worked really well."

"I have been using Dazey butter churns for a long time. I loved the idea that they are still available in this style new. I bought this one and was both pleased and disappointed. What I like....The gears (plastic) turned smoothly and are sturdy. The jar is a nice size. It cleans up easily. Here is what I didn't like....I wanted a handle on the side of the gears. I want a buttermilk pouring screen in the lid. MOSTLY...I want a BIGGER paddle. This one just didn't scoop at the forming butter on the sides of the jar and created an empty hole in the center before it was butter. I had to constantly shake and stir to get the butter. Way more work than an old Dazey. I would love to see this product redesigned!"

"As mentioned before by others, the churn is well made but the paddle is too small, the bowl a bit too wide for the hole to give way for a sufficiently big paddle, and the gear ratio definitely too low. Consequently, it takes the churn more than twice the time to make butter compared with our old churn - when it at all succeds in making butter. Redesign!!!"

"Like a previous review - I like everything about this butter churn - BUT THE PADDLE IS TOO SMALL - the result being that once you get passed the whipped cream stage, the paddle only churns a small area in the middle. I finally dumped it all out and beat it with an egg beater in a bowl. I am not going to try and retrofit the paddle with some rubber of metal so that it is larger. I would love it if Lehman's made a bigger replacement paddle. The butter, was delicious."

"This churn does not work. I have churned butter with it using the old fashioned method of putting cream in the churn and churning. I guess it is necessary to use the starters and methods in the booklet in order for one of these churns to make butter. It works great for washing butter once it is made but it is an expensive way to wash butter."
