"Nice product and is easy to use. Restarting a new fire with the hot coals in the morning is a lot easier. I agree with one review, just don't try to scoop too much ash at a time."

"KoalKeeper users, we have heard your comments and appreciate your opinions. Unfortunately, a radical retooling of the KoalKeeper configuration, such as longer handle and/or larger scoop would force us to have it made in China and would drive up the price dramatically. You can cheaply lengthen the handle by adding a paint roller extension and as for the scoop size we recommend that you take your time and sift smaller amounts and only collect as many embers as you need to restart the fire. Thank you for your purchase and support. Paul Marley Inventor and Manufacturer or the KoalKeeper koalkeeper.com "

Very ingenious idea, and best of all it is MADE IN THE USA!! Was also impressed with the way Lehman's handled my internet order, especially with all the bad snow up North, it still got here in a timely manner and was packed quite well inside the box."

"I am very pleased with the tool. Each day I have at least 3 inch by 12 inch pile of coals that can be used again instead of thrown out. Over a full heating season I should see a difference in teh amount of wood used."

"It's worth the money. It's more lightweight than I thought it would be. Works great if you clean your woodstove more often in small batches. It's very helpfull in that I don't have shovel everything out each morning just to start a fire from scratch. (tender, kindling, small wood etc.) The coals are right there ready to start my next fire for the day."

"Great addition to your fireplace. Would be better with a longer handle and a deeper shovel, but a great tool none the less."
