ECONOMICAL 16" REEL MOWER DESCRIPTION
Unless you have a lot of lawn to mow, you don't need that noisy, cantankerous gas-powered lawn mower. With a reel mower, there's no engine to start, no oil or spark plugs to change, no noisy engine, no cord to pull, no polluting fumes, and no gas to buy. Reel mowers snip grass (like a pair of scissors) instead of tearing it (like a power mower), and they're quiet enough that you can hear the birds sing while you mow.

  • Specifically designed to cut low-growing, creeping grasses
  • Mows 16"W swath and cut is adjustable from 1/2" to 2-1/4" high by adjusting the roller assembly
  • Plastic roller can't rot
  • Unbreakable steel side plate and 1" welded torsion bar frame assembly
  • 10" durable composite wheels with radial tread tire
  • Cushioned handle grips
  • 22"W overall with 42"L handle, 27 lb

Note: Reel mowers are not recommended for cutting long grass or "stringy" weeds like dandelions or buckhorn. For longer growth, use a scythe.

"The first time through it was tough and slow going (the grass was long), but now that it's down the mowing is a breeze. I love the more natural, grazed of the lawn."

"For my two small terrace lawns on the back hillside, this mower is perfect. It's lightweight enough for me to carry down the hillside stairs, and quiet enough for our creekside neighborhood. Smooth action, and easy to clean."

"I just recieved my mower today. The directions are a little bit simple and do not explain well how to assemble your product. I learned the hard way that putting together the handles first makes it difficult to attach it to the actual mower head. I had to disassemble to assemble it properly after I figured it out. However, once I had it assembled, I took it out to try it immediately. I live in the North East, which is very moist. We have thick bermuda grass with weeds and clover, but it was chopping through everything like it was nothing. It's great! I'm very happy and proud of my new mower and I see myself using it extensively."
