"The first one I ordered was damaged. I called Lehman's and their customer service is second to none. I didn't have to return the damaged one and they sent me a new one without question. Excellent service and product! Thank You!"

"Had bought these previously so ordered 5 new ones to replace. The new ones we got were garbage. The side broke out of 2 of 5. The tops will not stay on any of them. Pretty disappointed in the product. "

"I drove a well in my pasture and installed one of these pumps over 4 years ago. It has been used almost daily to keep our horses and cows in water and to keep us in water during power outages. I've had to replace the check leather about every 2 years, but that's a 3 minute job. I did drill a 1/16" hole in the check leather to keep from freezing in winter and this pump has pumped water even in -40 temps! The only downside is that it does take a lot of pumping to fill 2-110 gallon troughs."

"Bought this pump a couple years ago for a cistern that waters my greenhouse. It works great, but needs priming every time I use it. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold a prime more than a few minutes. I recommend getting some replacement check leathers when you buy it."

"These are a very durable pump at a decent price. They have their weak points in their design, but overall are great. The best feature is the main parts that will wear out are replaceable through Lehman's. We have six at our pumpkin patch that are heavily abused by kids at a water pumpkin race, but all and all they hold up decently considered the extreme amount of use they get. For us, leathers last about 1 year and it seems like we are constantly tightening a part, but with 6 getting used 6 hours a day at times we can't complain. Minus the leathers, these should last for years with any home use."

"I am ordering a 2nd one of these great cistern pumps. The 1st one got smashed by a falling tree in the past winter storms. The pump was easy to set up (my neighbor did it for me). It works great, easy and fast. I did have to hand prime it each time we used it by pouring a cup or two of water in it to get it pumping - this was not a problem at all. The pump looks great in our front yard - we built a little stone foundation around it for decorative value."

"good price, low quality casting, non precision bore, cheap (thin) leather seals. Not the quality you may expect from Lehmans - but will work."

"I installed this pump on a hand driven, 25 foot well in my pasture. It has worked daily for the past 3 years. The only modification I made was to drill a small 1/16" hole in the lower leather to help it drain back in freezing weather. Before that it would freeze before it would drain in below zero temps. Just ordered another for the barn."

"Bought this pump as a decorative addition to a wooden rain barrel, but it works so well that I use it every day to water potted plants around the yard. Very good value pump, but I wouldn't want to count on this as my only source of water."

"Easy to prime that a child could operate. Best out there for the money. Highly recommend."
