DIETZ JUNIOR LANTERNS DESCRIPTION
Famous Dietz lanterns stay lit in any weather! Proven in use on Mississippi showboats, New England whalers, steam locomotives and horse-drawn trolleys. With the easiest operation of any lantern, they’re designed for rough-and-tumble outdoor use. Thumb-lever lifts globe for lighting. Hinged globes tilt out for quick cleaning or replacement. Tin-coated steel is finished with durable lacquered enamel to prevent tarnish. Plated tanks resist rust and steel guards protect the heat-resistant globes.

"I've had my Dietz Juniors for about 6 or 7 years. I use them at my camp for decorative lighting instead of Tiki torches. They've been extremely durable. I have one that I need to replace because of a leak in the base. Very happy with these and will be buying a couple more."

"My brother and I each got one of these 2 months ago, and after filling them with klean-heat kero sub, we found that they performed better than we thought. Turning up the wick only chars it and smokes up the glass. I would highly recommend this product, but if you want more than 9 CP, get the Dietz blizzard!"

"We haven't yet filled it, but it's sturdy, looks great & was worth the wait! Thank you Lehman's for offering various options when this item was so very delayed! But my son is glad we waited for this one!"

"A great lantern for the money, good light output, easy to light, and surprisingly good quality."

"I recently ordered 2 Dietz Junior lanterns for my patio and was pleased with the quality of the lamp. The Black and Gold color lantern provides an excellent glow. This lamp can be used indoors or outdoors and provides a good light source. Limited fluid capacity is the only drawback. Good solid lantern for entertainment purposes or for emergencies."

"We run 40 lanterns for walking tours of a historic site, mostly Blizzards and Champions. The Juniors are better-suited to kids than the larger lanterns so we keep several on hand. The Junior is easy to light, stays lit in any weather, and is easy to clean. The smaller fount with filler cap at an angle is slightly harder to fill than the larger Blizzard."

"The fuel caps and spouts are not of very good quality on this model and can be easily cross-threaded. The tooling needs to be reworked to improve the quality of these. The glass is less than half as thick as the original U.S made versions. They are usable, just don't expect any of the higher quality of the originals made in the U.S."

"bought several of these for our small camp. they all leaked around the seam at the bottom of the base, the gasket on the fill plug fell apart soon after the first use and the lever which raises the globe on one of them ceased working soon after purchase. not a good product"
