Durable tools for felling and hewing logs and timbers but at the same time a work of art. "Great axes, but, as has already been noted, this model pictured is *not* a felling or splitting axe. This is a broad axe designed for woodworking / carpentry. Gransfors axes are top-class tools and can't be beat, but I don't think anyone looking for a general forest / camp / etc axe would be well-served by this model. "

"Beautiful axe, but now for felling a tree like mentioned. This axe was designed for hewing. You will need a balanced felling axe as well as this axe if you want the whole experience."

"I have two of the Gransfors Bruks axes and have found them to be exceptional quality. Perfectly balanced with handles that seem to have been custom made for my hand. Unbelievably durable (if used for the intended purpose). Well worth the price. I would pay double for an axe of this quality. I heat almost exclusively with wood and these axes have proven themselves repeatedly."
