"Just received the Jupiter Lantern and was quite amazed with it's size. The box was wrapped really well and I personally have never seen that much bubble pack used on any package I've ordered.Which was probably a GOOD thing seeming that it was going to NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA. I bought the Dietz Jupiter this time and plan on buying a W T KIRKMAN#2 CHAMPION and a FEUERMAN Lantern next just to see which one I like the most and the one I prefer well order more. Thanks Lehman's, your customer service is off the charts keep up the good work."

"I was looking for a bright and well made lantern and had considered the Dietz Blizzard but found a lot of negative reviews regarding it's quality. This Champion had great reviews though. I'm impressed with the robustness of this lantern. It doesn't feel cheap and is similar to my vintage Chalwyn. The globe is very thick glass (like a glass jar) and the flame is VERY steady. I think it's worth the money. Lehman's packed it very well, with more bubble wrap than I've ever seen! Shipping was fast and cheap to Canada...cheaper than any lantern shipping I've seen!"

"Purchased the Champion #2. Well constructed (as well is it can from China) but seems to be a lot better built than the cheap ones elsewhere. I am very pleased, puts out plenty of candlepower to light my room sufficiently for the blackouts. "

"This is a great lantern. I have a large W.T. Kirkman, a Feuerhand Lantern, and a Dietz. The Feuerhand is small, well built, and burns very smooth but I don't care for the globe lifting lever (one has to hold the lever with one hand or it pops back down). However, it is still one of my favorites. The Kirkman is very large and robust. The globe lifting lever is very good (locks open solidly). Doesn't burn quite as smooth as the Feuerhand but I still haven't got the wick trimmed just right. The modern Dietz is ok. It doesn't feel as well built but the globe lifter is better than the Feuerhand (as in it will lock open). Spend the extra few dollars and go for the Kirkman or Feuerhand."

"I bought two of the large size lantern. They are LARGE! These are fantastic, easy to fill with fuel and the cage protects the glass chimney well for those of us that are a little clumsy. I live in SD where power outages are frequent in the winter. It gets so cold here with the wind chill that I have a hard time keeping flashlights on because it's just too cold. These lanterns allow me to see very well in the barns, stay lit even when walking in high wind, and are easy to carry and hang. They are also great for fooling the neighbors when the power is out. They give off so much light that it looks like my power is still on in the house. I highly recommend this lamp for indoors and out. Made well, sturdy and very efficient. I feel safe using it even in a barn full of hay."

"We purchased the large lantern. Believe me, it is a FULL SIZED lantern. It also puts out plenty of light. This is a perfect lantern for trips to the barn, when the power goes out, or just sitting on the back porch and you want to enjoy some nice light. It's worth the money."

"The last REAL lantern in production. We use these almost daily and I can tell you from experience that there is no one else that makes the real thing. Even Ditz that claims to do it is not the same to me. These are tougher, stronger and just plain work. The real deal. GET AN EXTRA."
