"The last REAL lantern in production. We use these almost daily and I can tell you from experience that there is no one else that makes the real thing. Even Ditz that claims to do it is not the same to me. These are tougher, stronger and just plain work. The real deal. GET AN EXTRA."

"I know these little lanterns are meant for heavier work, but when my large outdoor event got moved into a tent at the last minute these great little lanterns saved the day! We needed to light ten large tables and preserve our "picnic" theme and your customer service rep was able to get them (and the fuel) shipped in one day. They gave off enough light for everyone to see and looked wonderful with the gingham table cloths and the mason jar floral center pieces. They didn't smoke or smell either. Thanks for the great service and quality product."

"Pros! Well Made! Burns Bright! Long Lasting Finish! Windproof! Proven Design! Quirks! More expensive to operate than 5/8 wick models, burns more than an ounce of fuel per hour. Cumbersome to walk with. Overall a good looking large lantern that will last a long time. Lehmans has excellent customer Service they answer emails quickly."

"OK So the Little Champ is my first kero lantern. I always wanted one but wasn't sure of the quality on the newer ones. Well this Little Champ lives up to it's name. It's hurricane season in Florida and I am putting together my yearly emergency kit and decided to try a kero lantern. I have a coleman fuel lantern which works great but wanted more versatility. RE indoor burning, long run time, cheap to own and operate, fun factor etc. So after about 3 or 4 tankfuls of fuel I decide that I made a wise choice. The price is fine with me as long as the quality is there. First off the build quality is above average with several spot welds on the metal which is a good thing.A cinch to clean and light. Provides an unmatched ambiance on my patio. While burning a 50-50 tiki, kero fuel combo it keeps biting insects away. I can actually sit outside and enjoy my patio at dusk and beyond. Ok so I am a happy camper so far. The little champ makes for a great outdoorsman lantern being robust enough for a bright light but portable enough to carry around. The globe is thick too. During the initial break in the bail handle popped out of its socket. I Popped right back in though, probably due to the heat cycle and metal forming. The filler cap is fussy and at first was difficult to put on. I rubbed the threads with a regular lead pencil and now it works like a charm. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase and ordered the Big Brother Champion #2. This combo gives me flexibility to have an inside fuel burning lantern and an outside fuel burner. Caution these are mildly addictive! Lehman's has fair prices and shipping!"

"I purchased the little champion and am very pleased with the size. Plenty big enough for camping and emergency situations. Would be easy to use anytime really. Packed very carefully and looks really good. I love the carry handle. I'll be getting another soon!"

"Nice to see they still make heavy duty, solid lanterns like this."

"i own this lamp for two years and its my only source of light.i live in the cabin with no electricity...for two and a half years of 95% of days using it at night i can say its the best kerosene lantern i ever had....only problem i have found is ....if you lift up the glass to be able to light up the wick-the piece of metal holding the stick down worn out....but is easy to fix...but who is using the lantern almost every day like me??excellent lantern.."

"Awesome. Works very well - even in a steady breeze of 15 mph and subzero condtions. Burned 4 oz of 1-k kerosene in 3 hours of operation. The packaging protection of the lanterns is unbelievably good."

"I have three of these lanterns. Use them for camping and emergencies. I put brass burners on them. They just plain work. And work well. Good stuff.."
