CANNING JAR COFFEE GRINDER DESCRIPTION
"It grinds much better than my electric coffee bean (chopper). It has a much more consistent size grind than an electric whirl blade chopper. The coffee also does not stick to the side of the jar like an electric chopper. It takes just a little longer but is worth the effort." --Stan

"This grinder is perfect and the jar is just a wonderful practical storage solution." --SBL

"I bought the canning jar coffee grinder so that when the power went out, I could still grind my beans and enjoy my morning coffee. Of course, I had to try it out right away. I had no idea that the way a bean is ground could so profoundly affect the flavor. The blades on my electric grinder actually chop the bean where as the grinder actually grinds the beans and releases more of the oils. My coffee was much more delicious than I had ever enjoyed and now I'm hand grinding my beans every morning. I love this grinder!"

"My wife and I have been using this grinder for about a month now. It works very well. It is quite attractive on the counter, and best of all it is nearly silent when grinding coffee (except for the creaking of my old bones..) It's easy to adjust the grind and the locking nut keeps the setting where you put it. At last, we can grind FRESH coffee for brewing any time of day without waking the entire household. It even came with a little jar that holds enough grinds for a couple of large pots. (or one REALLY STRONG cup of Joe!)"

"We've had this coffee grinder for a few months now and really like it. The hopper can be a bit awkward to get beans into & you do need to place the jar on a non-slip surface while turning the handle as the glass jar slips easily. Other than that we've been pleased with this purchase."

"Our electric grinder broke; ordered parts & this hand grinder for emergencys. The hand grinder is much nicer than I thought it would be. Makes perfect grounds, takes a little effort but well worth it."

"I use this every morning to grind my jumbo cup of coffee. It works good, looks nice, and gives me a little morning wake up workout. I'm glad I got this one instead of the other types. It's the best and makes the best coffee for miles around."

"The opening for the beans is much too small. It should be large enough to put the beans in with a coffee scoop, but you really need a funnel. Also, the grind adjustment is very difficult to work -- you need to press down the spring with one finger and turn the adjustment with the rest of your fingers. They should substitute the mason jar for the cheap wood box on the larger, better grinder. That would be ideal."

"We bought this grinder as a quiet alternative to our noisy electric one. The opening to load it could be bigger, but overall I'm quite happy with it. Found it's easier to operate by holding it against my hip with one hand and turning the crank with the other."
