Pump water uphill as much as several hundred feet, using simple gravity and running water. Place Ram downhill from any constantly flowing water source. (Water must fall at least 3' through anchored, rigid pipe before it reaches intake.) Water flows past check valve, enters pipe that slopes uphill to the discharge point, and continues upward until just past entry height. As water ebbs back to entry height, the check valve closes immediately.

"This little pump is amazing! I have the Davey 2 and I m getting between 450 to 650 gallons per day. The only problem was when the valve with the weight on it would hit the (ring) side on the dome and it would keep the valve stuck open. All I did was to make sure the pump was level and I rounded the top of the weight by filling it so it would not catch that ring around the dome. This pump is GR8! (great)"

"Rife manufacture's this product. Before ordering, I'd highly recommend e-mailing them for assistance in designing the pumping system. They were exceptionally helpful and would respond promptly to my repeated e-mails. The casting quality of the pump leaves a bit to be desired. For example, only of the flanges was drilled bit sideways so the pipe doesn't come out of the pump perfectly square. A foot is a bit higher so the pump rocks when placed on a flat surface. Do these issues affect the pumps operation? Absolutely not! Otherwise, I have no issues with the pump and I'm confident it'll do everything it's supposed to. I'll be installing the pump next weekend, so if there are problems I'll post back. Otherwise, assume that all is well!"
