    "I just got the first two of the series, and I'm super pleased with them, they came sooner than expected. I'm halfway through the first book, and really enjoyed reading it, and can't wait to try some of the skills/recipes in the book. I can't wait to get started on the second one! I never knew how much of my family's culture was like this until now, it's wonderful to be able to read about it and learn lost skills that i didn't get to learn from my great grandparents. Thank you so much! I can't wait to get the rest of the series!"

    "I started collecting these books when they first were published, just 1 per year as I remember. It was a school project from a very creative teacher. The kids interviewed old-timers in the Appalachian Mountains. Along the way, the kids learned how to make the product (hands on), play the instrument, cook the fittles and more and they also recorded history of the mountains and their people. WONDERFUL! Buy the whole set, if for no other reason than it will be a wonderful source of information for the entire family, school, church, etc."
