"Being a BARLOW, I wanted to get a pocket knife for all my kids that reminds them of our family heritage. I was impressed by the cost to quality ratio, as this is a high quality knife for the cost. The bone handle looks better in person than shown in the picture and the tightness and fit of all the components was superb especially when you consider the knife is made in China. Both blades smoothly fold out. The blades are fairly sharp and overall the knife has a decent weight to in. Some suggestions for improving this knife to make them more like some older originals that I have in my collection would be; the word "BARLOW" on this model is lazer etched into the bolster. This for me was a major let down as the lettering on the originals are stamped into the bolster and uses a larger font. The wording on this new knife is harder to read unless you have the right light reflection off the bolster. If you are a Barlow, you want people to see your family pride. Also, the pins holding the bone handle to the tang of the knife are not completely flush with the concave contours of the handle. From one direction they feel smooth, but to move your hand in the opposite direction they are raised by about ten thousands of an inch. It's not a deal breaker considering the knife is on sale for less than $6! Overall, I am impressed by this knife and would recommend it for purchase. It is difficult to find a knife of this quality for such a great price. Thanks Lehman's for a great product!"
