CLASSIC HOT WATER BOTTLE DESCRIPTION
"Love this bottle! I keep the house very cool, and have been using a heating pad to warm up the bed, but didn't like using more electricity. This bottle stays warm a LONG time, and is more comfortable heat than the heating pad." --A Satisfied Lehman's Customer

"Thanks so much for continuing to carry the hot water bottles made in Germany! There's no comparison to these. They're made from heavy rubber with a sturdy threaded stopper to last a long time." --A Satisfied Lehman's Customer

"This is an excellent product! It's much higher quality than the Chinese version I got from the local drug store. It holds more water, it's softer (rubber, not vinyl or plastic), has a great seal, and the hotter/cooler side feature is pretty neat too. I use it every night to warm my bed, and it holds the heat at my feet all night! "

This bottle stays warm a LONG time, and is more comfortable heat than the heating pad. Very tight closure. I'm not worried about it leaking. Glad it was a monthly special, or I wouldn't have thought of this alternative."

"I look forward to using this for a long time to come. I had the opportunity to visit the Lehman's store in Ohio about 12 years ago and it was a real treat. I spent around 3 hours and still did not see it all. I have a piece of Amish art on my wall at home and my treasured oil lamps stand ready to light our way."

"Oh my, these bottles are much larger than I anticipated! I purchased two and included the flannel cozies, and promptly gave them both away (and therefore cannot measure them at this time). The bottles hold 2 liters of water, and the stopper screws into a metal-threaded opening, for years of use. By boiling water, allowing it to cool in the tea kettle for about ten minutes before pouring it into the bottle, you'll be sure to have the hottest water recommended, while not melting the rubber. One side is ribbed, the other smooth, but honestly after filling the bottle (first slipping on the cozy/cover) it's hard to tell which side is which. By slowly tilting the bottle after filling it 2/3 full (and screwing on the top), it's easy to see whether the stopper has to be tightened (checking for leaks). Even after a 32 degree evening campfire, a 10-minute car ride home with the heater blasting, my girlfriends' backside was icy cold! I had planned on giving her the bottle that night, so opened the package and voila! She warmed up really fast, and I was rewarded with "you're the best!" and a smooch. Guys, this is a great way to warm your ladies, your children (who want you to turn up the heat because their beds are cold), or even stay warm at the game. I recommend using the water to irrigate your houseplants. It wouldn't be suitable for drinking after it's cooled down. Buy it! But buy more than one, because you'll immediately give it away!"

"Mine is definitely rubber, and it came from Germany as described. It has several languages on the bag, and it has the European number of inspection on it that is required in Europe for safety but not here. That said, I use it primarily due to a neck injury and I've used it to warm the bed on cold nights. It works well for both. DO NOT put boiling water into this (or any) of these bottles. If you carefully read about this from European websites (since this is where they're made), they all say to not use boiling water. I don't anyway, but it will weaken the rubber and cause failure. My only complaint (and reason for 4/5 stars) is the plastic screw closure. It's made very well, but it is a bit hard to close straight down when the bag is full and you're trying to hold the air out of the bag, etc. My dexterity isn't what it used to be, so if you have dexterity issues in your hands/fingers, this could be an issue. If leakage of hot water occurs, you could get burned, so care should be taken here as well. "

"I got this item totally different from the picture shown above. I'm not quiet happy with this. It looks an imitation from the original one made in Germany. This one looks to me that it is made in China."
