Around here, our Amish neighbors have a serious love for popcorn. This new stainless steel popper is an improved and enhanced model designed by a local Amish man.
  • Made of 304 surgical stainless steel
  • Steel clad aluminum bottom disperses heat evenly and ensures aluminum does not come in contact with food
  • Heavy-duty metal dasher rides smoothly along the bottom to prevent burning and scorching
  • Hinged, vented lid provides easy loading and pouring and optimum temperature control
  • Lid opens in the front, so it won't close on itself when you pour popcorn out sideways
  • Large 6-quart capacity - enough for the whole family
  • 8-1/4" ID, 6"D, 3 lb
  • China
Note: Much cheaper versions of this popper are available. We carry this one because we know you will be happy with it. Ours is stainless steel, not aluminum. (If you want an aluminum one, try our #2TPP.) We don't carry the cheap copies because every one we tested had loose handles, a cranking mechanism that got too tight to turn when hot and chintzy, thin metal pots.

"I have used the popcorn popper three(3) times and every time I have used it, the turning mechanism stops working. The handle will turn but the inside mechanism will not."

"The heavy pan is a great improvement over other designs, however the latches are loose and the lid comes off easily while trying to spin handle. In order to use this popper you have to hold the lid on with a hot pad or mitt. Very disappointed in quality of lid and latch design."

"My wife ordered this and we waiting in anticipation to have some "good old fashioned popcorn." It arrived today and those "metal gears" well, they were not the fine craftsmanship the advertising led you to believe. Worst of all, the paddle that moved the popcorn broke off the first time we used it. This "Chinese made" replica is a piece of junk. I expect more from Lehman's, and I will be really hesitant to purchase anything from them again. Their catalog is now in the recycle bin and if any of our friends ask us to look at it, we will tell them the story of "The Popcorn Popper from China.""

"VERY DISAPPOINTED! When we took it out of the box the metal gears were clumsy and sticking. You could see how the manufacture was inferior as the parts weren't smooth or cleanly molded. Then we tried it out and on the very first batch the blade broke off in the popcorn! We followed usage directions exactly. I would NOT recommend this product - especially for the price. I am disappointed in Lehman's for selling it and I will think twice about buying from Lehman's in the future."

"This is a great product we got it to replace an older one with plastic gears - we wore it out and the gears slipped off. This one has threaded metal gears that should last a lifetime. HOWEVER ........ The gears are stiff - so a little vegetable oil or something is a good idea. AND - particularly if your left handed! If the gears are stiff and you turn the handle - counterclockwise - you unscrew the gear - it looks like it is broken. When the gears are tight it will work in either direction - but we now know to go clockwise. My right-handed wife thought this was obvious. I'm just backwards I guess."

"This popper pops 1/2 a cup of corn using 1.5 to 2.0 tablespoons of corn oil with no problems. Lehman's service would not tell me the manufacturer of the popper prior to order and assuming it was a Lindy I ordered it. The top had a ding in it. I like the popper but am done with Lehmans."

"I have only used this popper four times since receiving it but have not had any problems with it thus far. It looks nice and pops great. Best popcorn I've had in awhile. Easy to clean. I especially like how this brands lid clips on! It is very easy to put on and take off. Great popper."
