NEAR-UNIVERSAL WICK CLEANER DESCRIPTION
"These work and are the right tool for the job. Wick trimming by hand does not work well at all and wastes the wick. Every Aladdin lamp needs one of these." --A Satisfied Lehman's Customer

"As the name states, this is a wick cleaner. It is not a wick trimmer. It will remove carbon, but that's about it. If you want to square the wick with the center tube and take off the hairs and such, remove the flame spreader and the outer wick tube, adjust the wick so the uneven parts are barely above the center tube, and use a good sharp (i. e. new) razor blade to cut the uneven bits off the top edge of the wick. The center tube functions as your blade guide while cutting."
