"The 3 Gallon churn is great but the dasher is junk. The dasher fell apart before I even used it. I made my own dasher out of one piece of wood (like it should have been), attached it to the dowel rod with a wood pin and it works perfect."

"I bought the 2 gallon churn and have been making butter for the past few months. It takes a little more than an hour but well worth it and everything works fine."

"WOW 2 Gallon one was plenty big enough. Very well made crock and fast delivery. Cheapest i found on web and looks like i found the best. yes wooden churn could be better but think was just for show and you can always make a better hard wood one to use. Very happy"

"The 3 gallon pottery butter churn is beautiful and well made. I removed the wooden dasher and put a large cork in the hole. I am using the churn as a rum pot."

"The end of the dashers are stapled on. If you actually attemp to make butter using 5this crock and dasher, the dasher falls apart. We contacted Lehman's, who sent us another dasher - made the same way. We have been making our butter with a vitamix or blender, since this is just for decoration. I will have to drill a hole and use a screw to make this usable."
