STEEL NUTCRACKER DESCRIPTION
"Best nut cracker I have ever used. When I was at home we had to use a hammer and it took us for ever. We used this one as soon as we got it out off the box. I was really shock to see how easy it was to use. And it was made in the good old U.S.A.!" --A Satisfied Lehman's Customer

"All I can say is WOW! Had the nutcracker out of the box and cracking black walnuts in just a couple of minutes . . ." --Kathy

"All I can say is WOW! Had the nutcracker out of the box and cracking black walnuts in just a couple of minutes. Even with the stiff, sore hands, it was almost effortless. Cracked three nuts in approximately 45 seconds. What a difference between this and the old hammer technique. Fantastic. My only suggestion is to round off the corners or add some kind of cover to the end of the handle. I'm especially glad to see it is American made, and am recommending this product (and your website) to everyone!"

"This nut cracker is very well made and smartly designed. I haven't used it to crack hazelnuts or English walnuts, but it might be perfect for those nuts. I have used it for pecans, black walnuts, and hickories. It has more than enough power for pecans, and I like the high degree of control you have compared to other designs, but despite that great control the shape of the metal where it holds the nut in place leads to almost every pecan meat getting crushed by the time the shell is cracked. We still use one of the cheap plunger type crackers (which leave plenty of room for improvement) for pecans even though we have this more expensive cracker. The design is excellent for black walnuts and hickories, but it needs to be a little bigger with a little more leverage to comfortably crack most black walnuts and hickories. It does great with the easier cracking end of the spectrum, but I have to really muscle some black walnuts (which doesn't feel especially safe) and some black walnuts I haven't been able to crack at all with this device."

"Just bought this nutcracker to crack Black walnuts. We had been using a hammer to break them open on a brick, This is a wonderful tool. Effortless, heavy duty, and very well built out of tubular steel. I expect this will last me a lifetime. Takes those black walnuts down so easy, I have to hide them cause the kids are cracking them and eating them all on their own."

"I bought this nutcracker from Lehman's a couple of years ago since I have a hazelnut bush and while it does a decent job it could sure use the ridges that are on the top half on the bottom half also. This would be a GREAT nutcracker if it had that feature. As it is now I have to hold the nut in place with one hand and and push down the crack lever with the other or else the hazelnut goes shooting across the room when pressure is applied."

"I've used it on, and it works well, with black walnuts, macadamia, hickory and pecans. No readjusting a screw for different sized nuts/pieces, just move the nut to the more narrow section of the wedge. Little danger of pinching fingers, as distance angled crushing bar moves is very small. Comes with clear plastic covers (short tube segments) which slide over metal feet to protect counter/table. Excellent build quality, expect it will last a lifetime."

"This is the best nutcracker I have ever used. If you have any hesitation about this product, don't. Having researched a better way to crack all the pecans my tree produced this year this was the winner and it works. On the box it says "Get Crackin Nutcracker" and my freezer is filling up."

"I've had one of these for several years and it's the best for black walnuts of all sizes. Gives you easy control over the amount of pressure you apply to the shell with a small amount of actual force against the lever."
