"I've been very pleased with this clock. I've been using it for over two weeks now, and have had no troubles at all. On other sites I've seen it listed as a 36-hour wind, but my clock has been running for 50 hours on a single wind; no winding every day-and-a-half! The ticking is pleasant, but not as loud as other clocks I've owned, and it's a clean "tick-tock" rather than the "tick-sproing-ting-tockety-sproing-ting" of other clocks (which used to drive my wife crazy). The alarm is actually controlled by a button on the back, rather than a swing-lever as the description states, but that's a minor point. The clock is keeping accurate time right out of the box. I was a bit wary of this purchase, as I was unfamiliar with this product, and reviews from other sites were far less than stellar (from "ticking is too loud"—which it isn't—to "broke within a week, and kept poor time"). I haven't found any of these points to be the case. The clock is made in China, but seems to be well-made, rather than cheaply-made. Bullova warranties the clock against defects, so that's a comfort, too. My clock took about two weeks to arrive, which is longer than I've been accustomed to with Lehmans, but not an unreasonable delivery time. The clock is well-packaged (in styrene), and the package was well-padded within the shipping box. I would recommend this clock (and Lehmans) to others."

"Love this clock! It's a gorgeous design and keeps accurate time. The tick tick sound it makes is very pleasant, not overbearing. Has separate windup mechanisms for clock and alarm, which is a great idea - the alarm doesn't wind out the spring for the clock. A classic, and a must have if you love clocks."

"I love this clock. While it does take about three days to determine how fast the key is running, the ticking is just soft enough to be unobtrusive and just loud enough to be soothing to an insomniac. It looks absolutely beautiful on the mantel. It's great!"

"We just received our clock and are pleased with not only the looks, but the 'works' of the clock. It has a mild ticking sound, with bells that definitely do the job without startling a person awake. One of the nicest clocks we have every purchased and well worth the price. Thank you Lehmans for another quality item."

"This clock has many nice features: - large, easy to read numbers - the tips of the hour and minute hands glow in the dark - the tick-tock sound is quiet and non-intrusive - the alarm sound is loud enough to wake you but not to make you jump from the bed in "shock" - includes an adjust lever for accurate time keeping - the style and finish compliments my decor - no batteries or plugs and cords; it can be set any where - great backup when there is a power outage Lehman's does it again - another great product with fast and professional service. Thanks, Lehman's! Another satisfied customer, Karen D"

"Up-date to my review of 9/27/2012: The clock ran well for over a year (beyond the warranty period, of course), but began stopping randomly. I opened it up and found the gears are all plastic. I cleaned and lubricated the works, and it ran properly for a few more weeks. I've done this twice since. Now it runs if I lay it face-down on the table, but stops if I stand it upright. At the outset, the clock ran for 50 hours on a single winding, but after 3 months, it required winding every 36 hours (the advertized winding period, so no basis for complaint, just want to update what I've said earlier). Sadly, I would no longer recommend this clock to anyone. Although I still find Lehman's to be a top-notch company, it seems Bulova is no longer manufacturing quality clocks as they once did."
