"I first started baking breads in the 90s. Soon it seemed like I owned one of every type of loaf pan made. Results were less satisfactory than advertised every single time. Then I bought a Lodge cast iron bread pan and it far outperformed them all. When Lodge discontinued them I regretted not buying another for all those years. Never could find another one for sale, even used. The owners were not giving them up, which is in itself a tribute to the quality of Lodge cast iron. See for yourself - try and find a used Lodge bread pan anywhere. They are not to be found even at garage or estate sales. The new pans that Lodge is making are even better than the old ones. The inside (baking) surface is much smoother, and the overall quality of the casting appears to be much better than formerly sold. And now they are preseasoned too. Imagine that in this era of cheap foreign imports! Also, I refuse to use any foreign-made cast iron copies of the Lodge. Foreign countries do not have the same quality control over the purity of materials that we do here in the USA. Lead-based paint used on foreign made children's toys, anyone? I purchased 2 of these new bread pans, and strongly suggest that you do the same. Guaranteed that you will be more than satisfied with the results. Save on shipping costs - buy 2 or more. They do make great gifts as well - instant heirlooms that you can actually use!"

"I had looked all over for good bread pans. when I saw this in the catalog I just had to order 2. I have baked 4 loafs of bread in these pans since I received them and the bread turns out great. no sticking, nice loaves, consistent color. These pans will last me a lifetime. They are pre seasoned, good quality bread pans. If you bake lots of bread I highly recommend you purchase a couple of these pans."

"These Lodge Bread Pans are the absolute best ever made! Lodge wasn't making them for several years, but I purchased two from a ocal hardware store in Indiana twelve years ago or so. They provide even heat for even cooking, are non-stick and they are indestructable. Gerat for meat loaves or bread. I'm ordering some for Christmas gifts!"

"I first purchased two Lodge cast iron loaf pans about Twelve years ago. They are vastly superior to anything I have ever for cooked bread or loaves. I don't know if this is a Lodge product or not, but plan on ordering several as gifts to my baking friends. In short, these are the best bread pans even made and well worth the money!!!"
