"I LOVE my new Kettle!!! I guess I was one of the lucky ones who got a well made one. My rocks, boils water quickly (considering it's capacity) has a pleasant whistle (not too shrill) I can make tea/cocoa for a family of 7 all at once. And still fill the hot water bottle for my sore back. I'm very pleased. "

"I love my 2 gallon stainless steel spout kettle. The only issue I had was that the whistle didn't whistle, but I called Lehman's and they mailed me a new lid right away. "

"I bought all but the small size. never had leak issues or whistle issues. Loved the look and the hilarity of a HUGE teapot that didnt spurt boiling water on my hand. My problem was you only dry burn these once and they're done so they must not be stainless throughout. Made in China. I was hard pressed to find a USA maker."

"The spout is attached only in spots making it leak if you fill much past the bottom. This means it is actually good for only about a gallon of water. Even if the spout was attached properly you could only manage to bring about 6 quarts to a boil without overflowing. It states it holds over 2 gallons and it does, but is not functional at that point. The leaky spout and the very slow delivery make this a definite no repeat experience."

""Not sure how to rate this. There are some serious problems with this item. Basically, the main kettle part is nice, HOWEVER, the problems I find are as follows: the spout of the kettle is not finished inside. It is rough, has sharp edges, and most troubling, it is coated with a gray powdery film that rubs off. I do not know what chemical this is, but it is extremely difficult to clean this and it most probably gets into the water. They have told me that they ALL have this condition. Buyer be ware! Next problem is the fact that the handle seems to be a potential weak point. It is made of thin sheet metal and is attached only by a single rivet, which is a hinge. My concern is whether a heavy (when filled) kettle can be controlled with a floppy handle and whether the riveted hinge will break, with dire consequences. Lastly, the whistle sounds more like an air raid siren than a tea kettle (no big deal)! It looks nice but perhaps this is best used as a watering can for plants.""
