DAMASCUS STEEL KITCHEN KNIVES DESCRIPTION
In the world of cutlery, there's steel, and then there's Damascus steel. Legendary since the Middle Ages, its now-lost process was used to create the strongest, most beautiful blades in the world. Our kitchen knives are patterned after these blades, made of 67 alternating layers of high carbon steel and stainless steel. Since stainless is harder than high carbon steel, the blade develops a slight serration as it wears, resulting in less need for sharpening and precise, effective cutting.

7-1⁄2" Santoku Knife - Ideal for slicing, dicing, chopping and mincing.
3-3⁄4" Paring Knife - For peeling, paring, small jobs.

Black Pakkawood handles- In the manufacturing industry, Pakkawood is known as one of the best, most durable materials available today. Created by impregnating hardwood with resins, Pakkawood gives you the beautiful and elegant look and feel of wood, but it can never absorb water, warp or crack (like plastic can).

"I love this knife. I got the Santoku blade and it is easily my favorite kitchen knife, so much that it hardly ever gets put away. It has stayed razor sharp over months of continuous use. The indentations along the blade keep food items from sticking, making chopping and slicing much faster. The weight is perfect: it feels substantial and well-balanced without any hint of heft. The grips are sturdy and attractive, and provide wonderful slip-free handling. I've gotten several of these knives for friends and family, everyone has been well-pleased with them."
