Actual Color Is Much Darker

These high quality shades have smooth tops and bottoms, no rough edges. The shade color in the photo is red, but the actual color of the shade in daylight is more like a dark chocolate brown. For this reason, the shades were not what I expected.

What can I say.... I was walking around an old house on the last day of an estate sale. Not much was left, but there sitting in the corner was an original Aladdin lamp. Well, original may be an overstatement because someone had electrified it, it had a few dents and had seen better days. I almost passed it up, but who can pass up an Aladdin for $2. it had obviously been loved in the past because it did still have the shade tripod. There was no chimney, there was no shade but it still had that wonderful Aladdin "look". I picked up a nice rustic LED bulb and the electric kit still worked. Chimneys are easy to find and with one installed it was time to class up the old girl. For weeks I agonized - what would look right to finish off this lamp?? Then I found it, the Ruby Swirl Glass Oil Lamp Shade. $70 is a lot to spend on a $2 lamp, but let me tell you - it's beautiful. Well made and just perfect on the lamp. Now that has me thinking - I have a Ruby Red Beehive Lamp with no shade..... I wonder how this would look?
