GSI very poorly made in China

This is very flimsy and arrived with a 3 inch by 1/2 inch strip on the lip uncoated or damaged. I am returning it. Unlike much of the other enamelware at lehman's, this is made by GSI in China, and is very poor quality. The other bake and serving enamelware I have so far from Lehman's is made by Graniteware, in the US or Mexico depending on the piece, and is much better quality. Lehman's is very uneven in how much info they give in their product descriptionI. Please tell us country of origin, and maker where possible. Now I am wary of ordering more pieces, as I have no way of knowing if they will be more GSI garbage. Especially disappointing as Graniteware makes the same size pitcher according to their website, so why not carry that one?
Lehman's says: We try to offer USA made items when possible, however there are times when pricing on items prevents us from doing so. We're sorry you are unhappy with your purchase. Please contact us so we can make it right! 1-800-438-5346.

My camp coffeepot wore out after many many years so I ordered the 8 cup pot in this Royal Blue Enamelware. What a terrible disappointment. The pot and basket are so flimsy I thought the top was coming off and the pedestal did bend when I first washed it. The pot never would have stood up to years of coffee brewing. Very inferior manufacture.

This is the best cookware for cooking anything. It's easy to clean and distributes heat well without weighing a ton.

I love using these for dinner instead of melamine or ceramic/china, I originally purchased it for my daughter to use as a tea set but soon found myself pilfering the pieces. Steak knives can be used on it without damaging the finish or getting that annoying scraping that comes from cutting on ceramic/china. However - the enamel chips of the edges quite easily and the rolled edges are not tightened enough to it can be rather sharp, especially on the cups. Also the cups do get quite hot and are hard to hold when filled with hot liquid like coffee/tea/cocoa, even the handles will get too hot to hold. But I LOVE them and know I will buy more of it!

I gave one of these to my Mom for her 90th birthday. She said it was so cute and made a big deal about it.
