We like the way it blends. But we can't give this blender more than 3 stars. The C-Clamp used to clamp the device to our counter is bending, and clearly getting ready to fail after a year of casual use. The plastic container is soft and takes scratches and is difficult to wash clean. Glass would be more fragile, but much easier to clean. The bottom piece on the container that carries the blades can't be removed for cleaning. Also, it is starting to leak a little--which isn't as much a problem for using the blender as it is a worry that trapped food might become a reservoir for bacteria growth. (We clean and disinfect the blender with vinegar, and let it leak through, too, but still... worrying.)

The clamp could use a bit more engineering in my opinion, however I can update it myself to a more solid base mount. It does work and it can give you a little workout but when you aint got electricity it looks like a lifesaver! Treat it gently & do not force it when it locks, just go a little in reverse and rock it out.....

We live in a place where all we can get is solar electricity so this is an awesome alternative to an electric blender.

Great blender and easy to assemble! The first time I used it, I made a fruit smoothie with ice and the results were very similar to that of an electric blender. The hand crank takes some muscle; but I got a healthy drink and worked in a little exercise while making it! I like the fact that itﾒs portable!
