The popper makes good popcorn but the gears on top are very second rate. I bought 3 of these, (2 as gifts) and none made it a full year before the gears broke and without that mechanism , it doesnt work well. Go for the stainless steel. It is worth it.

This is a great popper for glass top. Ranges since you do not have to move the popper around. Makes wonderful popcorn. With a little experimentation, you can make as much or as little as you want.

LOVE our Whirley Pop!! Have had it for about 4 years and it is the greatest. Bought one for my brother who lives in Arkansas and he was thrilled! Grandkids love to come over, help make, and eat kettle corn made with our popper. We just live a few miles from Lehman's so, tomorrow we're driving over to buy two more... one for our son & daughter. Now the grandkids will have one of their own!

Got my Whirley Pop the other day, and made popcorn right away. Also bought the Amish popcorn gift set - 8 varieties of popcorn, salt & canola oil! Great stuff - made what a friend calls crack corn because it's addictive! Just throw your corn, oil and salt (or other seasonings# in the pan, if you're cooking on electric, let the burner heat up first #medium high), then put the pot on there, and start stirring - rarely a granny kernel!

Love this product! Have had one for 2 years, and just bought 2 more as gifts for my daughters because they love mine so much...especially the Kettle Corn... the bottom agitator makes all the difference and to make cleaning easy, run hot soapy water in, close the cover and let soak while you eat...cleans right up!

Good product, fun to use. Be careful to keep the heat down-scorches easily, but the scorched-on popcorn is almost impossible to remove.
