I purchased the incubator and automatic turner. The issue I ran into and where I did not follow instructions is waiting for the chicks to dry prior to moving them to a brooding box. The humidity level in the incubator was too high for them to dry. I also ran into the problem of the hatched chicks stumbling over the eggs that had not hatched turning them and interfering with that chicks hatching process. In addition the process of hatching left debris in the water which did not seem healthy as that was then put into the air. So, after leaving them for some time I decided to move them to the brood box where they dried and are doing well. This makes me think a chick should be removed once it gets its legs under it. I now have 12 feisty chicks and am waiting a few days to see if any more hatch.
