WAHL is said to be one of the best clippers on the market. American made. However, the steel blades that come with their clippers are crap! You'll trim your dog once. Follow the directions to keep your blades good. Brush out the hairs, oil. Etc... The next time you go to trim your dog those so called "self trimming" blades are not only dull and pull the dog's coat when you run the clipper over them, but the clipper blades themselves have rust spots all over the attachment base. How does this happen? No CLUE! But I bought two different WAHL clippers in 5 years. The blades did the same thing. So I bought replacement blades thinking maybe WAHL upgraded to stainless steel as the ad said. No, not a chance. Same thing happened with those. So now I have two WAHL clippers that I'm going to donate, sans the worthless blades, to GOODWILL. And meanwhile, I'm going to research on-line for professional dog groomer supply shops. This way I can find a trimmer that is actually quality and is not trading on the long standing name just to sell crap. Your dog deserves better than WAHL. Trust someone who's spent nearly $100.00 finding that out the hard way. And my Lhasa Apso too.
