I happen to have two very large, sturdy trees in the opposite corners of my back yard with about 40 feet of open space between them. This kit is perfect for that scenario. It was easy to set up and spared me the headache of figuring out how to set up a clothesline on my own (i.e., trying to find a tutorial or what to look for at a big box hardware store). I'm not that handy so buying a kit with instructions was well worth it for me. I've never used a clothesline with a pulley before and I love that you can stand in one spot with your full laundry basket and move the line instead of lugging the basket from one end to the other. This is sturdy, glides smoothly and such a joy to use--worth the cost.
