I purchased this for my husband, whose best friend has one...we love the popcorn! It works great and quickly.

I should have read the reviews when I got this for Christmas. the turning mechanisms completely broke. I thought spending a little more would pay off but this product did not even last a year . My old stove top popper last over 10 years. will not buy again.
Lehman's says: We're so sorry for your experience. Please give us a call, so we can make it right: 1-800-438-5346.

I just bought this for my daughter, she said, Mom, thanks, this made the best popcorn I ever ate.

This made the best popcorn I've ever had! It's so easy to use and awesome quality! Lady finger popcorn also sold at Lehman's. So fun and perfect for Sunday evening popcorn!

This is a good heavy duty stainless steel..but the rivet holding the sweeping arm to keep the popcorn from burning is too light weight. I've used it less than 10 times and it needs to be repaired to be able to re-attach it.

This product is simply exceptional. Great materials - great results. We enjoy using this product often.

I've had this popper for almost two years. I bought it wanting to get away from using the aluminum popper that we were using. At first the price left me doubtful of the worth. But, I've never had a lick of trouble with this popper, and am totally happy with the quality for the price ratio. It's something that takes time to keep clean and the gears oiled for the next use, but a much healthier version for some really great treats. I wouldn't trade it for any other!

Had high hopes for this product but the quality is awful: Lid doesn't fit properly, gears bind and come undone if turned left, wood handle not properly fastened, clips and clamps dont fit properly. How disappointing.

The SS popper makes great popcorn, but the design deserves 1 star. With the opening on the end of the popper it is necessary to hole the handle underhand to lift and empty. If you are not careful the lid latches do not hold the popper on and it WILL fall off. It is also likely you will get burned on your forearm as you lift the popper high enough to empty. Not suitable for height challenged individuals.

Kettle corn is a daily thing in our family during the deep winter. As another reviewer said, we also wore out one of the cheaper designs before buying this one. We've loved it from the start! When adding sugar to the popper I do shake it from time to time to keep the kernels from piling at the edges. And the lid has slipped a little, during that classic 'stove popped corn gesture', but certainly not so much that it requires any kid of modification. It has already lasted double its predecessors lifetime. Well worth it!

Pops almost all the popcorn with no issues. I just wish it wasn't made in China. I know that Lehman's stands behind their products and didn't hestiate to buy it.

I got this Lindy's stainless steel popper for Christmas, and it's now nearly Easter. I've used it a LOT, and I really like it. The folks who say you should lubricate the gears are right; that helped a LOT...I used bicycle lube, but not on the inside. I've found the pot easy to clean (much more so than my aluminum Whirly Pop), so it's good for sugar-coated pop-corn recipes. My top seems to stay on just fine (although pouring out popcorn is a bit awkward). I have noticed that the gears unscrew if you crank left-handed, but they screw right back on if you switch to right-handed cranking. Unless there is some inconsistency in product quality, I am puzzled by the reviews stating this product is low-quality or not durable. The sweeper doesn't contact the bottom of the pot, but there really isn't a need to stir the popcorn until it's actually popped (so it doesn't burn), so that's not really and issue. I've recommended this popper to anyone I know who makes a lot of popcorn.

I have used the popcorn popper three(3) times and every time I have used it, the turning mechanism stops working. The handle will turn but the inside mechanism will not.

We LOVE this popper!!! Perfect every time.

The heavy pan is a great improvement over other designs, however the latches are loose and the lid comes off easily while trying to spin handle. In order to use this popper you have to hold the lid on with a hot pad or mitt. Very disappointed in quality of lid and latch design.

My wife ordered this and we waiting in anticipation to have some good old fashioned popcorn. It arrived today and those metal gears well, they were not the fine craftsmanship the advertising led you to believe. Worst of all, the paddle that moved the popcorn broke off the first time we used it. This Chinese made replica is a piece of junk. I expect more from Lehman's, and I will be really hesitant to purchase anything from them again. Their catalog is now in the recycle bin and if any of our friends ask us to look at it, we will tell them the story of The Popcorn Popper from China.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! When we took it out of the box the metal gears were clumsy and sticking. You could see how the manufacture was inferior as the parts weren't smooth or cleanly molded. Then we tried it out and on the very first batch the blade broke off in the popcorn! We followed usage directions exactly. I would NOT recommend this product - especially for the price. I am disappointed in Lehman's for selling it and I will think twice about buying from Lehman's in the future.

Love the popcorn popper. Easy to use, love that its stainless steel and its perfect for our camper. Thanks for having such great products.

This is a great product we got it to replace an older one with plastic gears - we wore it out and the gears slipped off. This one has threaded metal gears that should last a lifetime. HOWEVER ........ The gears are stiff - so a little vegetable oil or something is a good idea. AND - particularly if your left handed! If the gears are stiff and you turn the handle - counterclockwise - you unscrew the gear - it looks like it is broken. When the gears are tight it will work in either direction - but we now know to go clockwise. My right-handed wife thought this was obvious. I'm just backwards I guess.

This popper pops 1/2 a cup of corn using 1.5 to 2.0 tablespoons of corn oil with no problems. Lehman's service would not tell me the manufacturer of the popper prior to order and assuming it was a Lindy I ordered it. The top had a ding in it. I like the popper but am done with Lehmans.

I have only used this popper four times since receiving it but have not had any problems with it thus far. It looks nice and pops great. Best popcorn I've had in awhile. Easy to clean. I especially like how this brands lid clips on! It is very easy to put on and take off. Great popper.

Fantastic! Wish I had ordered sooner. Solid and well made, works just great. I am really enjoying real popcorn again.

Typical Chinese copy workmanship. I was hoping the Amish wouldn't settle for this.

I bought this as a family gift and it went to Winter Camp with the Boy Scouts. They used it on a metal grate/grill directly above the fire with great results. It was VERY popular- I would expect a big uptick in sales!- and declared hands-down the best popcorn anyone had ever eaten. Great product!

I do really like this popcorn popper over all the others I have tried. Just a bit of oil and the corn pops so much better than the electric kind. The fact that the popper opens in the front instead of the side takes a bit of getting used to, however, once you do its as easy as pie. Thanks again for making such a great product.

So far we love it. We feel safer with the stainless then with the aluminum. We have had no trouble with it as yet. I like the coment about using the veg oil to lube the gears......thanks.

I had high hopes for this popper, but was totally disappointed. First thing wrong was the stirrer spins above the kernels. I had to shake the pan to stir the kernels. The stirrer didnﾒt work until some of the popcorn had popped. The second problem was moisture. It was dripping from the underside of the lid. The vent holes are too small and too few. My first two dislikes are major flaws, the next two are personal preferences. I didnﾒt like that I could only spin the handle one way. Spin the wrong way and the gears unscrew. My Whirley Pop allows rotation in both directions. The final dislike was the way the lid opens. It is awkward to dump the popcorn out with the lid opening perpendicular to the handle instead of parallel with it. Although I probably would have gotten used to that if I were to keep the popper. Iﾒll stick with my Whirley Pop.

We have been looking for a Stainless steel popper for a long time... This one works perfectly. very few unpopped kernels and the result is tender and tasty. We even made kettle corn with no burning. It does not have that cheap thin feel of aluminum. no plastic gears was a HUGE requirement. ( comments on other sites complained of gears stripping) these are great. add a drop of veggy oil to the shafts and gears and the turning is smooth and easy. This was well worth the investment.

The main reason I purchased this popper was because I read on the Internet that it works with an induction cooktop and it does! I previously ordered another stainless steel popper that did not work because a magnet didn't stick to it. The magnet sticks to the bottom of this popper and it works great with my cooktop. At first I thought the scraper might not whirl around low enough in the pan, but it popped almost all of the kernels. I'm very satisfied with the stainless steel popcorn popper from Lehman's.

I was somewhat disappointed. I purchased this popper as a replacement to our old Whirly Pop popper because it has metal drive gears. It does not work as well. The stirring dasher does not extend all the way to the edges of the pot, which leaves unpopped kernels on the edges. Also, after only six months of use, the hinges on the lid have begun to come off. Not up the the usual solid manufacturing standards I've come to expect from Lehman's. I plan to ask for a refund and go back to my old Whirlypop model.

Totally fantastic. It works on my induction cooktop. I used to have to go out and heat up our travel trailer then my wife would go make popcorn on the gas cooktop. Very well made, high quality, unsurpassed customer service! Item was wrapped in bubble wrap then packed in paper with a hand written note of who packed it. Return info and labels were included (which I did NOT need). I would order from Lehman's anytime they have something I need. Sometimes, price is NOT the most important thing it's quality and service.

After trying several other stove top popcorn poppers I finally found the one that works great on my magnetic induction stove. This is the king of stove top popcorn makers. You will not be disappointed. Super strong & heavy duty construction, logical design & superb fitting gears. With the latches on the side it opens easy and secures easy. This pan is worth every cent.

I love this popcorn popper.. all you need is a tablespoon of oil with the corn (add whatever flavorings you would like, you can control exactly what goes in!)tastes better and is SO much healthier for you than the microwave kind!

a pain in the butt to clean, but if your family loves sweet kettle-corn as much as mine does this type of pot is a necessity to keep it from scorching. Kettle-corn made with the sugar added to the oil during popping is more evenly distributed, and by using flavored gelatins you can get a variety of flavors as well. pots washes up well, its the churning mechanism that will give you the problem.
