Maasdam sorgum is made right -- small batches, careful heating. Looked all over for it as my store stopped carrying it, bought another brand and it tasted like corn syrup. Found it at Lehmans. Look up nutritional profiles -- much better for you than sugar. Thanks!

As a little girl, I remember my grandmother using sorghum in her desserts. When I finally grew up it became hard to find, don't get me wrong, you could find molasses (which is related, but not the same), so I put it out of my mind as a sweet memory. Thanks to Lehman's, I can now enjoy my grandma's ginger cookies, old fashioned applesauce cookies, cakes, breads and etc...it's such a light nutritious sweetener, I believe all home cook's should at least try it. The flavor is awesome.
