I got this rug when I bought a house with a wood burning stove, and noticed burn marks in the very old carpeting that worried me. I needed a fireplace rug that will truly not catch fire and was also not too big or expensive. This fits perfectly in front of my small hearth and it does not catch fire when sparks hit it. Thank you!
