2-QT Foley Food Mill
Oct 3, 2017

Having owned an older Foley Food Mill at one time, I am disappointed at this made-in-China version. I need a wrench to tighten the bolt sufficiently, and even at that the handle wobbles as you turn it, requiring more effort to both turn and stabilize the handle while processing the food.

I've owned the small Foley for many years. I bought the larger model recently and, sadly, the handle promptly fell off---a bad weld. The old Foley had a riveted handle, much sturdier than the new model. You CAN use an epoxy glue to reattach the handle. Still, it's a new flaw in a good, old product.

I consider your catalog a collector's item... brings back many good memories. As for our new Strainer - O-boy! What a machine. Wish we had it 100 lbs of tomatoes ago. Thank you much.

Mill works great and is easy to clean. But it has THE most uncomfortable, non-ergonomic pot handle in the world. If using for more than a few quarts, wrap it with a kitchen towel at the start to avoid hand fatigue.
