I am very very happy with my White Mountain 6 Qt. Electric ice cream freezer. And even more happy with the service from Lehman's store. After having a problem with the original motor they shipped me a Brand New one and I received it SUPER FAST. I would like to thank them and highly recommend them for all your needs. Very Good People.

White Mountain had been a product since grand mother made ice for me as a boy some 50 years ago. It is no longer the company they use to be. After more than two motors where the gears tear apart I have given up on this company and its foreign made parts. These are sad days of a long lost past.

Oh I so want to own a new one of these! I was raised with a White Mountain crank maker. I remember when my parents upgraded to electric. The crank gave much firmer ice cream by far. The crank one finally died. My husband and I got my parents and used it. It finally died. If I had the money I would have one of each. I want my kids to have the memories of sitting in the freezer and getting old enough to get to crank it. Only to graduate to the relief of the electric freezer. Maybe someday! Thanks for sweet memories!!

I grew up using a White Mountain freezer. Our family made ice cream in it regularly for 10 years until we lost it in a move. When I got married, my parents gave me a White Mountain electric as a wedding gift. My wife and I have been using it ever since(30+ years).

Motor and gears scream like a banshee. You have to hear to believe. Sent the first one back. Second one is the same. Must be used outside or in closed room with now one around. I'm sure that it could damage hearing in a short time. Bucket leaks and this prevents the super cold brine solution from surrounding the ice cream container (and thus freeze the ice cream). I've owned several ice cream freezers and never had to pre-soak the bucket to make them work.

This makes very good ice-cream. Great power. But the bucket has a tendency to leak. Ours rusted and loosened where the motor casing meets the two brackets that attach it to the bucket. I have heard that lately they have corrected these two problems. If you bucket does leak, you can soak it in water outside for a few house before you make ice-cream. Then the wood swells, and it will not leak.
