Does not pump

Wish I had read the reviews. This is a "Masons" jar not a "Mason" jar and as is stated, made in India. My fault I didn't look closely at the picture as it is correctly depicted. The glass is more green than blue green and not a match to my ball glass blue green jars. I followed instructions and only filled the jar part way. It did not pump any soap at all, then I tried it with water, still didn't work. The lid did fit another ball glass mason jar but still didn't pump anything. This was a waste of money. Quite disappointed.
Lehman's says: We're so sorry to hear that the pump is defective. Please contact us so we can make it right!

Purchased years ago but the lid eventually rusted. Better if lid plastic.

I love how this dispenser looks. The weight is nice. I looks great on my sink! However, it is in a spare bathroom and doesn't get a lot of use. I splurged on this and on clear lavender soap to fill it. After a few months the soap looked a lil different color. I could see rust all over the inside of lid. The same rust prevented me from opening the jar altogether. I will call customer service. If no help I probably won't be ordering anything else from this company. Shame to because I like a lot of things on this website.

The idea is great. The execution is poor. The metal parts rust, first shedding rust particles into the soap, then totally disintegrating. Throwing away the product that was purchased to eliminate the throw-away pump bottle is not helpful. This would be a great product if manufactured from quality materials. I would pay more for something that would last. It appears that the pump is only sold with a ball jar, which is also unfortunate, as re-purposing old jars is also useful.

Needed to give a rating, but I have not this product. A comment below mentioned the metal lids rusting. To keep this from happening (I do this with culturing my veggies ~ lids and rings), is to use a light layer of olive oil on it. It works! Hope that helps someone. Thank you.

A few years ago, Lehman's sold the pump only, and you could use your own Mason jars. I bought two, prefering my own jars because they are clear (I have no blue color in my house). Have never had a leaking problem, but am disappointed to see that the metal lids have apparently not changed -- mine have now rusted inside and drop tiny rust flakes into the soap. (Moisture+Iron=Rust, hello?) I would buy replacements (and pay more for them) if I knew they were better quality and wouldn't rust, but again I'd only want the tops, not the jar.

I really like the way this soap dispenser looks, but I sure wish I had read the reviews before purchasing it. it was a splurge for me to spend this much $ on a soap dispenser. It definitely leaks and makes a mess.

Do not get these if you have stone or granite counters, they leak, stick & break. And over time the black enamel screw on top starts to chip and rust.

I bought this quite some time ago and thought I'd figure out how to overcome this stupid leaking thing. I tried the 2/3 full idea (actually 1/2) and, it leaks! So, I thinned the soap down with water. Now it leaks thin soap. It always has a mess on my sink and I have really come to hate it. As soon as what's left in the jar is gone, I'm moving on to some other kind of dispenser. I hate that too, because I really love the way it looks (when it doesn't have soap streaming down the side and through the top)!

This soap pump is great. If you have trouble with soap leaking just dilute the soap a bit so it's not so thick!

I really wanted to buy these, but after reading the reviews & getting a consensus from them, AND after talking with a niece who had some like these, there's no way I'm risking my $ on them. Please, Lehman's, start selling them w/a gasket so they can be the quality product you usually sell.

I love the look of this and have put my dish soap in it. Keep it on the sink...however...it is somehow leaking soap around the large, screw on lid. Anyone else having this problem?

I too, bought just the lids/pumps and they leaked badly. I ended up applying a silicone gel/glue to the inside of the lid and the top of the jar and screwing them on. Will have to fill the bottles by removing the pump, but not leaks. Disappointed these were not sold with a gasket.

I have tried many, many jar soap dispensers at the kitchen sink (no dishwasher) and none came anywhere near to being as good as this one. I am so glad I spotted this one in the catalog.

having read that the jar leaked badly [it did] I located a thin piece of rubber and fashioned a gasket. While holding w. one hand and tightening with the other ... the bottom of the bottle broke out. I'm sad as it is most attractive!!

Super cute dispenser. I use it for hand soap at the kitchen sink. No problems with leaking so far.

I do like the pump. It's attractive. But it leaks. Soap seeps out and makes the Mason jar slippery. I fixed this by making a rubber washer and putting it between the lid and the jar. It should be sold with one.

I bought this jar to put my dish soap in but I keep finding a puddle of liquid soap around the jar. I've rinsed the jar many times and can't figure out why it's leaking from the lid. Plus I've only had it a week and the lid seems to be rusting near the pump. Not sure if I got a bad one. I bought two- but I think I will return both. Not the quality I had hoped for.
