You'll be ready for anything with a food supply that will last and be there when you need it most. Our ground beef patties are freeze dried, so they can be stored long term and without needing refrigeration (lasts longer than dehydrated and traditional canned food!). Perfect for emergencies, just soak in water for at least 20-30 minutes, cook thoroughly, then enjoy.
Note: This item cannot be shipped outside of the USA.
Helpful Hint: Store a can opener with your patties, so you have it when you need it.
Note: This meat is uncooked; do not consume raw.
Our hamburger patties are 90% lean, mean beef with minimal processing, so all the amino acids and nutrients that you'd normally find in been haven't been taken out.
Just soak in lukewarm (90-100°F) salted water for at least 20-30 minutes or until patties are moistened and fully reconstituted. Handle patties with care as they may break easily. If there are any hard spots, soak an additional 5-10 minutes. Cook thoroughly.
Once opened, they will last:
When will your freeze-dried food expire?
The manufacturer guarantees the minimum shelf life of 25 years from when the food was made. To find the production date, look at the label on the can. The production date code on the can could be something like this:
1288 b6 46
The 1288 is the actual date code in Julian format (the 288th day of 2021, which was October 15th, 2021). For example, 0201 would mean 201st day of 2020, 9012 would mean 12th day of 2019; 8067 would mean 67th day of 2018, etc. 25 years from this date gives you the minimum of how long it will last.
Note: Since it is a long-term storage, the shelf life will depend on the conditions under which you store the food.
