Take out he propylene Glycol please
Sep 5, 2018
I was going to order this but was very disappointed to see Propylene glycol in the ingredients. Please find something else to replace or take it out. Children's hospital in Philadelphia is currently studying it because parents are reporting behavior changes in their children after ingesting products that contain this as an ingredient. Even though it's sold to people as safe to use in food. It is not. Take out this ingredient and I'd love to give it a try. Thank you .

This stuff is great! Love it with apples and bananas. Unfortunately people make ignorant statements like some below. Hydrochloric acid is necessary to digest food and is essential to the body. Many foods such spinach, celery, and apple cider vinegar are high in hydrochloric acid. In foods like this spread it's not the acid that's consumed but the chloride used to adjust pH. Please educate yourself before posting. Geez.

We really like it, terrific to spread on toast.

Really? Hydrogenated fats, Propylene glycol, Helioprophine (what ever that should be, Heliotropin?), Hydrochloric acid... All things I rather not have in my food.

What horrible ingredients - I would never ever buy such a thing.

Lehman's is selling this garbage with trans-fats, artificial ingredients and chemical preservatives. Then they call it authentic Amish. This should be illegal. I would never buy this.

It contains Propylene Glycol, Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose, Tartaric Acid, Artificial Flavor, Helioprophine, Hydrochloric Acid, Sodium Benzoate. Each of these makes up more than 2% of it: Corn Syrup, Sugar, Water, Tapioca Starch, Dextrose, Hydrogenated Rapeseed/Cottonseed Oil. Doesn't sound very Amish.

Read the ingredients. So much nasty stuff in this product. Funny, I expected so much more from Lehman, a name I've always associated with quality and wholesomeness. This Truly makes me sad.
