opening the box and taking out the tools took my breath away, I have wanted this kind of wooden spoon forever, went the "cheap" route and went thru many, did not like feel "in the hand", but could not find what I wanted until I found Lehman's, my lucky day. I just oiled them all then they will be hung up with a leather thong as soon as I find the leather, I want everyone who comes into my kitchen to see them!!! Thank you so much for the opportunity to make a dream come true, I am 82 so better late then never..

I received these as a Christmas gift from my then teen-aged son very many years ago when he had noticed me pining for these but unable (at that time) to afford to splurge on them myself. It was a sacrificial gift that thrilled my heart and complemented my New England farm kitchen. Today, they continue to thrill me as they are still the best quality wooden spoons I've ever come across and they continue to serve me well. One note: I read a review where someone commented that the bowl of their spoon had developed a couple of cracks... As with any wooden spoon, cutting board, bowl, etc. these need to be oiled on a regular basis. Some basic food - grade mineral oil/butcher block oil needs to be applied regularly (don't use regular cooking/vegetable oil as it goes rancid and will smell weird). If your spoon looks dry, you've waited too long. And don't just do a once quick over - continue applying until it won't absorb any more. Then reapply as soon as it begins to loose its luster. I find the process to be very relaxing and very rewarding. And remember - water is not their friend! After use, wash and dry them very quickly - no sitting in the sink! And if needed, you may have to oil them after they've dried more frequently in the beginning until they develop their patina. With loving care, they will be indestructible!

I love this spoon. It's the spoon I grab first. The handle is long enough to keep it from falling into the pot and when dishing food into bowls, it scoops a large amount at one time. Thanks Lehman's!!

The Flat Spoon is the best possible tool for gravy and sauces. Its round edges get into the corners of the pan, and its convex shape makes it very easy to clean.

I have some of these spoons from years ago and just bought some for a friend. Sturdy, strong, large enough they are easy to grip. Love them ...Thanks, Eve.

I purchased the ladle just over two years ago. It was the most money I had ever spent on a hand held utensil. It was a work of art and very sturdy. I was very happy with the ladle until recently when it developed a large crack in the bowl. The ladle has not seen any physical abuse. Upon closer inspection I noticed another crack forming adjacent to the larger one. I will try to return it to Lehman's.

I would rate the spoons GREAT except for one thing. The bowls of the spoons are too thick. They are beautiful spoons and so sturdy. They will last a lifetime. I love love love the scraping tool. It is so useful. I use it when making scrambled eggs or to scrape all the good out of a cooking pot or what ever else I can think of.

This is by far the best quality spoon I've ever owned! The hardwood is beautiful, the handle is very comfortable to hold, and the bowl of the spoon is nice and deep- great for scooping. I'm sure that this spoon will last me many years :o)

I ordered some of your kitchen tools and the quality is unmatched by any I have seen and I am a kitchen tool nut. I think they would make GREAT stocking stuffers for anyone who likes to cook.
