I didn't believe this would work, but I tried it anyway. Well it does work. I am so pleased. and so quick to make . It is a great savings to be able to make my own starter pots. Thank you.

Very good tool for the small gardener. In an afternoon and with a daily edition of the local paper I made enough small paper pots to begin my hot house pre- planting. The process became sort of meditational. I look forward to making more pots for next years expanded garden.

I absolutely love this. I started making my pots and soon as I got it. Easy and fun to use. My seeds are growing so well and I just wish the weather would cooperate so I can start transplanting. They are more than ready to put in the ground. Getting a head start on growing seeds was something I was extremely excited about doing.

Love it and have so much fun making my pots. I have used the pre-formed ones at the store and they do not break down at all. This will be a hoot for us this year. Thanks

These are great little tools. I have used them for three years with good success. I have found a few tricks that make them sturdier. When you fold under the paper on the bottom, fold in the part where the seam comes together first, then the remaining folds will help everything to stay in place. Another help is to place the pots together with the seam facing inward toward another pot on a pan or tray. This helps the pots keep their shape as you water them and the plants grow. The pots need to be checked often for watering. Since the amount of dirt used is so small, they need frequent watering. I have beets and carrots growing in them right now. I find it gives my seeds a good start before putting them in the garden. I even start seeds that are normally planted directly into the garden, just to make sure I have a good germination rate. These are great tools. Kids really enjoy making the pots and growing their own plants in them. It can be a family learning experience.

It is excellent wood and arrived in perfect condition. I tried making a few pots and really liked them. I think I will probably use them for my tomatoes this year and see how they do. I haven't filled them with dirt yet so I don't know how they will hold up to soaking from below.

Excellant quality wood, very well made. I am not a person to leave reviews as I am one who reads them, but I noticed people are saying they are having trouble with removing the pots from the wood form, that there is a vaccum, I wanted my pots tight and to hold together well so they would hold up to the soil and watering, as this was my first time of using this product, I wasn't sure what to expect. I couldn't always get the pots off the wood so, I got a glass of water an when I made a pot I would lightly dip my fingers in the water and pulled the pot easily off the wood, after that making my pots went so quickly, I actually made between 400 to 500 pots, easily and quickly in a short amount of time, I also wanted to mention that pressing the bottom of the pot with the wood form, you can twist it back an forth slowly as not to rip the newspaper, it will hold up VERY well this way. As I potted and watered all my plants and seeds began to grow my newspaper pots never fell apart and they supported every plant and as I transplanted them to planters or the garden or wherever I put them they held up so well and it made the transplanting so easy on myself an the plants, I was so impressed with this product, even excited to have all these plants to plant with very little effort an money put into it, I will tell others how ecomomical it is and easy it is. Thanks! I hope this can help others.

I have processed 50+ pots since receiving this product, most recently for a plant sale in which I used the pots to transplant seedlings. I learned early in the process not to wrap the newspaper too tightly or it does create a vacuum when trying to remove the pot from the mold. Great product, minimal learning curve. A+++

This is a great product. I made 40 pots in about 20 minutes. The only problem I had was getting the bottom to fold down flat, but that was easily solved by just pushing the bottom part against the top a little harder.

AWESOME product!!!! Very high-quality product - simple yet effective. As soon as it came, I opened it up and immediately made 30 pots in less than 10 minutes!!! Don't know why others have a problem with it - just don't wrap it too tight and twist gently as you pull the main piece out. It's as simple as that! Couldn't ask for a better product!!! I even told all my friends about it on FaceBook! :-)

I really enjoy my Pot Maker. I think it's a good idea that helps us all live a little bit greener. Who needs to spend $7 on the pre-potted kits you can buy at the store when you can get old newspapers for FREE and make your own?! It's true that once you make the pot, it takes a little work to get the newspaper off the top piece, but if you don't wrap it too tightly, it comes off just fine. The quality of The Pot Maker is very good. It's nice looking, easy to grip, and is extremely simple to use. I plan on utilizing this item for many years in the future!

Love the Potmaker. I volunteer at a local nature center and we host many class trips. We are expecting 120 kindergarten children one day next month and will be planting seeds. Just about all of the paper pots we need have been made in two days! Thank you Lehman's for a great green product.

The idea of the potmaker is excellent, but the execution could use some refining. Perhaps some handles at the top (I had to create a set of string handle at the top/neck) to pull the plug part out of the wrapped paper, without wrecking the paper pot. Also, the bottom section supposedly used to seal or otherwise close the bottom of the paper pot just tamps it down a bit. I had to insert an extra piece of paper to close the bottom of the pot definitively. And I also used a staple up at the top edge to hold the pot together. Other than that... it works fine. If there were good instructions that showed a way around these deficiencies in the design, perhaps it would be good to include with the potmaker.

Saturday I used my pot maker for the first time and made about 75 pots. Ever 3 or 4 pots one would stick and be really hard to get to come off of the pot maker. Turns out the finish on the 'barrel' was pretty rough and even had a piece of lint or something stuck in it. A few minutes with some 800 grit sandpaper followed by a couple of drops of ArmorAll took care of the problem and now it works just like it should have worked right out of the box. I used the paper that my order was packed in to make the pots since I no longer take a newspaper. The pot maker works fine now but I rate it as a 4 because I had to correct the poor finish.
