I happen to have one of these planters that was purchased new in 1986 and has planted a lot of garden. It still works just as good as when new,and I think the greatest tool ever used in a garden.I would absolutely recommend and would would not hesitate to purchase again.Thank you.

Product came very quickly. Set-up was easy and seeder seemed very solid, but light-weight. Absolutely LOVED it. My vegetable garden, about 5000 sq. feet, used to take me more than 2 days to plant, working 6-8 hours. Using my new planter for just the corn, beans, carrots, dill, lettuce, peas, and cucumbers it still only took me 4 hours to do them all. I had so much fun that I tried to talk my hubby into tilling up more land for me to plant. I did have to be careful not to push down too hard, and go slow - watching the seed wheel to make sure each notch had only one seed in it. Sometimes two would be in there, and sometimes none. Also, I'm a tall gal, and the handles were a bit short for me, but overall the time & effort saved is MORE than worth it! Can't wait for next spring to use it again.

Assembly was a snap although am considering replacing the plastic pin on row marker bar. Am really looking forward to using next year. It runs easily enough even with a worn out motor.

I am really excited to find a seeder that was made in America and a pleased with the results. My only complaint is that it seems a little light. If it doesn't have my full attention I tend to push down and it starts to lift off the ground. Aside from that one issue I am very pleased with your product. Thank you very much.

I just had to add this to my previous review: Generally, our neighbors are into factory farming and regard our farming methods as hippy or too old-fashioned. A week ago, one neighbor who plant hundreds of acres of corn asked to borrow our drill (as he called it) to interplant sorghum in his corn fields. He used the okra plate and seemed very happy with the results. Thank you Lehman's for mending fences between neighbors.

I was worried about how this planter would do when I saw a bad review for it. I went ahead and bought it for the price ($50 cheaper than in another catalog I have). It is wonderful. I was concerned how it would perform on freshly tilled ground and it did GREAT! The only thing I had a hard time planting was flax, but I believe there's a plate for that. Saves so much time and backache. I wonder why I waited so long!

Where to begin? 1st off the clevis pin hole was not bored through all the way, so off to the hardware store to buy one. The grips do not stay on while it is being used. I had two different plots of soil, one a little lumpier and dry. This definately did not work on that soil. I have a few raised bed boxes with potting plant soiltexture. The seeder did run a little smoother, but the corn seeds did not come out consistantly, nor did the machine cover and pack the seed. Would not recommend this product.

I have RA and it's very hard to get down on my knees or bend over to plant things. This is the NEATEST tool I ever saw! It is very light so I can carry it, and does a fantastic job of planting and spacing seeds of all sizes. Without it, I would have had to quit vegetable gardening. This will be my third year with it. I HIGHLY recommend it!

PLANTED PEAS WELL. PEAS DID TEND TO POP OUT OF THE HOPPER EVRY ONCE IN A WHILE. I PUT A CUT OFF STOCKING OVER THE TOP TO CONTAIN THEM.
