  • Durable Frames - Each frame comes pre-installed with heavy waxed plastic foundations. These are sturdier than natural wax, making them easier to handle during honey extraction.
  • Accessible Entrance Feeder - This jar feeder fits into the front entrance of hive, giving your bees easy access to food when natural food sources are scarce. Holds 1 quart of syrup.
  • Essential Tools Included - Not only do you get a complete beehive, you'll have the necessary tools to help care for and maintain your hive, too. Includes a Beehive Tool (for prying frames loose and scraping excess wax), a Beekeeping Brush (for gently removing bees without harm), and Beekeeping Smoker with Pellets (for keeping bees calm while you work).

    • FOR BEST CARE: We recommend any wooden hive component surface that is exposed to the elements to be protected with exterior primer and paint before use. Only prime and paint the outside, NEVER the inside where the bees live. (The interior should be left unpainted). Do not paint the inner cover or frames.
