Create a stunning, 3-dimensional butter rooster to grace your Easter dinner table (or for any other special meal). Butter molds became popular in 18th century Europe and are still used today in regions where people make their own butter. Finely carved interiors and smoothly sanded exteriors set these German-made molds above any others we've found.

Details

To use: Soak molds in cold water for 30 min., pack with store-bought or homemade butter, press together and chill. Lift top half, turn bottom over and gently remove molded butter.

Note: To prevent molds from cracking, coat with food-safe mineral oil after every use.
