NSF Certified! The Ideal Filter for On-the-Go

Forget expensive bottled water. You can enjoy filtered drinking water just about anywhere with this compact gravity filter system! No plumbing or electricity required, just fill the upper chamber with untreated water, and the filter will reduce common contaminants, like chlorine, organics and lead from your water.

SHIPPING INFO: These products cannot be shipped to California, Iowa or Wisconsin because of state regulations.

*Ultra Sterasyl Filters are Tested and Certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53, 401 in the British Berkefeld SS2 Ultra Sterasyl for the reduction of Particulate (class 1) Turbidity, Cysts, Microplastics and NSF/ANSI/CAN 372.

Note: Not for salt water; not compatible with the Ultra Fluoride filter. Only use with the Ultra Sterasyl filter.

The manufacturer does not recommend using this system with water softened by a water softener, as excess salt may shorten the lifespan of the elements.

Care Instructions for Filter Element:

Over time, you may notice black buildup on your Ultra Sterasyl filter element, especially if you live in a cloudy water area. You can clean the filter element to help restore its flow. Just remove the element and scrub the surface evenly with a clean abrasive kitchen pad under running water or in a bowl, ensuring that the open ended plastic mount is clear of the water, to avoid contamination.

The ceramic and carbon filter piece is biodegradable; plastic is recyclable (depending on your state's regulations).

What does NSF Certified mean?

NSF certification means that the product meets strict standards for public health protection imposed by NSF International, such as extensive product testing and material analysis.

Ultra Sterasyl Filters are NSF Certified for:

  • NSF/ANSI 42 - Drinking Water Treatment Units - Aesthetic Effects
  • NSF/ANSI 53 - Drinking Water Treatment Units - Health Effects
  • NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 - Drinking Water Components - Lead Content

Specifications:

  • Number of filter elements included: 1 (system holds max. 1 filter)
  • Lower Chamber Capacity: 0.26 gal (1 L)
  • Flow Rate: 1 filter element: 0.29 gal per hour (1.1 L)
  • Assembled: 14"H x 3.9"W
  • Packaged Carton: 9.4"H x 3.9"W

Helpful Hints: Your first use of the Ultra Sterasyl Filter will be slow. No worries - this is normal. After a few cycles (after the internal carbon block is thoroughly flushed), the speed will improve. The pores on the ceramic filter element are smaller than other filters on the market (100 times thinner than a follicle of hair), but this not only filters the suspended solids out of your drinking water properly, it also allows extra exposure time to the carbon and media.

Water flow is affected by the quality of water supply, so flow rate will vary. This unit holds 1 Ultra Sterasyl filter element (not compatible with the Ultra Fluoride filter element).

For best results, replace the Ultra Sterasyl filter every 6 months (or every 400 gallons). Keep extra filter elements on hand, so you'll have everything you need. (We sell replacement filters separately.)

To serve filtered water, directly pour from the stainless steel canister (not compatible with the Tap accessory).
