Helpful Hints for Fermenting:

  • Make sure to check your sauerkraut once a week. Skim off any scum on top.
  • Remember, the better quality ingredients you use, the better results you'll have.
  • Wooden boards will naturally swell during fermenting. Make sure the board you use fits properly in the crock. If it is too snug, it may get stuck.
